Here you will find important information about the Spring Sustainability Academy.

Can I participate in the events online?
  • All Spring Academy events will take place in person. However, the keynote speech and panel discussion will be recorded and are expected to be made available on the KIT FORUM YouTube channel.
When can I register for the Spring Academy Sustainability?
  • You can register for the Spring Academy on Sustainability now. Click here to register.
  • The deadline for registration is March 15, 2026.

I am not registered, but would still like to participate in the Spring Academy. Is that possible?

  • You can attend public parts of the event (keynote speech, sustainability forum, panel discussion) without registering.

Where do the workshops take place? Where do the excursions take place?
  • Workshops take place in InformatiKOM I (Building 50.19, Adenauerring 12) and InformatiKOM II (Building 50.28, Adenauerring 10). The exact room will be posted in March on the overview map (see ILIAS course and InformatiKOM I notice board from Tuesday to Thursday).
  • Excursions take place at the locations specified (see ILIAS course and InformatiKOM I notice board from Tuesday to Thursday).
When should I arrive for the individual programme items?
  • Please register your attendance for the keynote speech on Monday 23 March between 17:00 and 18:00 at our information stand in InformatiKOM I.
  • You must also register for the panel discussion on Thursday 26 March at our information stand. Please allow sufficient time for this and arrive well before the panel discussion begins.
  • For the workshops and excursions, we recommend arriving at the designated meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time. Please plan your journey accordingly.
Will the group travel together on the excursion, or will we meet directly at the destination?
  • Participants will travel independently and meet at the designated meeting point (see the ILIAS course and the InformatiKOM notice board from Tuesday to Thursday for details).
  • For excursions outside the city, directions are available on ILIAS.
What are the rules for being absent and how can this be compensated?
  • Those who are temporarily absent due to exams or illness can still earn credit points if their absence does not exceed 3.5 hours. Absences of up to 3.5 hours will be made up by answering extra questions.

What do I need to do to earn 2, 3 or 4 credit points?
By when do the reflection report (3 CP) have to be submitted?
  • Please upload the completed report to the designated exercises on the ILIAS learning platform by 26 April 2026.

  • The deadlines for submitting podcasts/videocasts should be agreed directly with your contact person. If you specified 4 ECTS when registering, we will contact you and, if necessary, assign you a contact person to help you create a podcast/videocast.

In which semester are the credits awarded?
  • Even though they are only uploaded in the summer semester due to processing time, they are assigned to the winter semester in which the Spring Academy Sustainability takes place at KIT.
What should I do if I finish my studies at KIT at the end of the winter semester and urgently need the credit points?
I am not a student, but would still like to participate in the workshops and excursions.
  • Unfortunately, only students can participate in the workshops and excursions. However, you are welcome to attend the public keynote speech, the Sustainability Forum and the panel discussion.
